My style focuses on an eclectic collage of illustration, design, photography, vintage and modern. I've been inspired by nature, geometric patterns, vintage fabrics and silk Japanese kimonos, how they can be applied to surface design and how art as design can apply to our everyday living environment. I have licensed my illustrations and designs for rugs, wallpapers, fabrics, stationary, shoes, T-shirts, tableware, children's/infant bedding, gift bags, product packaging and wall décor.
I have illustrated children's books for Simon & Schuster/Silver Burdett & Ginn, cookbooks for Chronicle Books, Rodale Press, textbook covers, "The United States Congress" for W.W. Norton Company, NY. and "Con Fantasia." My editorial work has been featured in Emory Medicine, Newsweek, The Boston Globe, Utne Reader, Rodale Preventions, Los Angeles Magazine and The New England Journal of Medicine.
I've exhibited mono-types, giclee prints and illustrations in several one-woman and national group shows through private galleries and universities/colleges. I have also been featured in Communication Arts Annual; The Society of Publication Designers, Best Spot Illustrations & Brochures; Visions Magazine; How's Promotional Design Annual; Stir Magazine; Design Taxi; No Plastic Sleeves: Portfolio and Self-Promotion Guide for Photographers and Designers; American Graphic Design Awards.
